INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF FERMILAB PROPOSALS

STEP ONE
After submitting your proposal to the Program Planning Office, please submit your proposal to the eprint archive http://arXiv.org (usually hep-ex), including in the Report-Number field the proposal number, of the form: fermilab-proposal-#### (this number is assigned by the Program Planning Office).

If you are unable to submit to arXiv (or want to place a larger, higher resolution file than is possible on arXiv on the Fermilab server), please send an e-mail message to techpubs@fnal.gov and attach either a postscript or PDF version of your proposal. Include in the message your name, e-mail address, telephone number, current postal address, title of your proposal and proposal number. Name your file using the following convention: fermilab-proposal-####. Example: fermilab-proposal-0123.pdf. If you need assistance, please call x5693.

STEP TWO
If you are unable to submit an electronic file of your proposal in the email, please deliver or mail a single-sided, unbound copy of your proposal to the Technical Publications office, WH3W, MS 109. Attach a cover memo stating that an electronic file is not available. Include on the memo a contact name, e-mail address, telephone number, current postal address and proposal number. The Technical Publications office will scan your proposal and make it available on the technical publications server.

It is the author's responsibility to provide a clean, valid postscript or PDF file. The Technical Publications office does not have the resources to correct postscript errors. We will try to do what we can to post as many proposals as possible, but final responsibility for submitting a usable electronic file rests with the author.
